Paul Brierley is Executive Director of the University of Arizona’s Yuma Center of Excellence for Desert Agriculture, a public-private partnership funded by the agriculture industry focused on solving urgent problems they face. Prior to this position Paul spent 10 years as Director of Organization at the Arizona Farm Bureau. Raised on a farm in California, Paul received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Colorado and worked in telecommunications research before returning to his agricultural roots, running Brierley Custom Hay in rural southeast Arizona.
Paul is a graduate of the Project CENTRL rural leadership program and the Flinn-Brown Arizona Civic Leadership Academy. He serves on several boards and executive committees in addition to the Arizona District Export Council, including Project CENTRL, Arizona Town Hall, Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation, Yuma County Chamber of Commerce, Aerospace Arizona, and the Arizona Department of Agriculture’s Food and Agriculture Policy Advisory Committee.
