On May 3, 2011 the Arizona District Export Council hosted the 2nd Annual Celebration of World Trade Reception at the Lodge on the Desert in Tucson. The Tucson international business community gathered to hear Larry Mehren, Sr. VP of Global Business at Ventana Roche, speak about the impact of Roche’s investment in Tucson’s economy and Tucson’s international standing.

The DEC also honored David Dozer and Infrared Laboratories for their export success. IRLabs has been located in Tucson for 40 years and continues to grow to meet international demand, offering products and services to 350 customers in 34 countries.
The reception attracted a crowd of 85 participants representing the variety of Tucson’s International business community. Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Green Valley Pecan, and UPS sponsored the event.
